The KEEJOO brand continuous-feed shot blasting machine—utilizing a circular power-and-free conveyor system—achieves a rapid, efficient, and smooth cleaning process through state-of-the-art transport and high-performance shot blasting technologies. Its continuous-feed design ensures the uninterrupted movement of workpieces.
Product Overview: This overhead-conveyor shot blasting machine utilizes a system—such as continuous movement, intermittent (step-by-step) movement, or an advanced power-and-free conveyor—to transport workpieces. This setup allows workpieces to remain stationary during loading/unloading and within the blasting zone, enabling precise, fixed-point processing. Depending on the specific workpiece, the system supports single-point loads ranging from 50 kg to 2,000 kg. Offering high productivity and reliable operation, it is ideally suited for the mass cleaning of various parts that can be suspended. Designs can be customized to meet specific user requirements.
Applications
Suitable for shot blasting, deburring, and descaling of hangable parts (such as those with mounting holes), welded steel structures, and various castings and forgings. It delivers exceptional cleaning results for components such as engine blocks and cylinder heads, motor housings, gears, motorcycle engine casings, locomotive coupler yokes, bogie assemblies, hardware tool housings, and water pumps. It is an ideal choice for industries including automotive, tractor, diesel engine, electric motor, and valve manufacturing.

Standard Operating Principle: To initiate the shot blasting process, the system is switched to automatic mode, activating the abrasive recovery and dust collection systems. Workpieces are transported into the blast chamber by a power-and-free conveyor system. Upon triggering the entry light curtain, the first set of blast wheels starts sequentially, followed by the second set after a time delay to prevent "dry blasting" (blasting without a workpiece present). The workpiece-laden hangers move forward at a constant speed driven by the conveyor assembly; simultaneously, the blast wheels project high-speed abrasive in a fan-shaped pattern, striking the workpiece surfaces uniformly to achieve the cleaning objective. Spent abrasive falls to the bottom of the chamber into a screw conveyor mechanism, which transports the material to the base of a bucket elevator. The elevator lifts the abrasive to an upper screw-screen separator; the screen separates out fine particles—which then undergo secondary separation in an air separator—while large debris is discharged from the main housing. After separation, usable abrasive is stored in a hopper for recycling. Separated sand fines and broken shot are discharged through a waste chute into a waste bin, aided by the air separator and gravity. Dust is directly extracted by the dust collection system and trapped on filter cartridges within the dust collector housing; a pulse-jet cleaning system periodically dislodges the dust, causing it to fall into a collection bin for timely disposal.

Application:
This machine utilizes shot blasting technology to process complex castings, such as pump bodies. It removes surface contaminants—including adhering sand and oxide scale—and relieves internal stresses caused by casting and heat treatment processes. This enhances the workpiece's fatigue strength and imparts a uniform surface roughness, thereby significantly improving paint adhesion quality and coating durability.
The machine's abrasive circulation system utilizes a direct-drive blast wheel with a high flow rate, facilitating easy maintenance and boosting efficiency by 20%. It incorporates magnetic drum separation technology to remove quartz sand from the abrasive, thereby reducing wear on the blast wheel (as every 1% increase in quartz sand content leads to a tenfold increase in blade wear). Additionally, the system employs a "rotation plus oscillation" blasting method, completely eliminating any blind spots in the blast coverage.
The workpiece handling system utilizes a state-of-the-art power-and-free conveyor—an advanced, next-generation model—featuring storage, transport, and accumulation capabilities. Equipped with wide pushers and a dual-carrier accumulation mechanism, it delivers higher conveying efficiency and superior operational stability.
The machine's drive system exclusively utilizes SEW products, ensuring reliable operation.
The electromechanical control components of this machine are products of the U.S. company AB, featuring stable performance and reliable operation.
The power-and-free overhead conveyor is currently recognized worldwide as the most advanced type of conveyor equipment. Our company possesses proprietary technology for the design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of these systems, and we undertake orders and system design projects for clients both domestically and internationally.
The term "power-and-free" (or "accumulating") overhead conveyor derives from the system's ability to stop, accumulate, and subsequently restart the conveyed loads at any required point along the line. Consequently, this type of conveyor system is capable of handling not only basic material transport tasks but also complex material storage and handling requirements. It introduced the industrial sector to a highly adaptable material transport system that offers precise positioning and predictable operation.

Power-and-free overhead conveyors offer the following distinct advantages:
1. Power-and-free overhead conveyors combine the capabilities of slat, roller, and tabletop conveyors with those of standard overhead conveyors. They can lift, lower, unload, and rotate loads by 90 degrees at designated workstations without the need for additional auxiliary equipment. Consequently, the use of power-and-free overhead conveyors minimizes the need for various auxiliary transport devices, thereby reducing total investment costs.
2. The use of a power-and-free overhead conveyor system enables the integration of all factory processes into a unified, cohesive system. Computerized control allows the system to optimize material flow based on real-time production conditions. Furthermore, the system can anticipate potential issues and make adjustments or compensations before they impact production.
3. Each carrier can transport a heavier load to the workstation at high speed, saving time on inter-station transfers and increasing production efficiency.
4. High-speed transport also means a significant reduction in the number of carriers and chain traction force, lower loads on the tracks, and increased storage space.
5. A certain amount of buffer storage is provided at each workstation, imparting flexibility to the production process. This ensures that if a malfunction occurs at a specific workstation, the system can continue to operate normally without interruption for a specified period.
6. New workstations can be easily expanded by adding chains.
The wide-pusher power-and-free overhead conveyor is an upgraded version of the power-and-free conveyor; its comprehensive technical performance has reached the advanced level of similar international products.

High-efficiency & Smooth Shot Blasting Solutions
The Qingdao KEEJOO Group overhead continuous-feed shot blasting machine utilizes state-of-the-art transport and high-efficiency shot blasting technologies to deliver a rapid, seamless, and productive cleaning process. Its continuous-feed design ensures the uninterrupted movement of workpieces. The combination of adjustable transport speeds and powerful blast wheels guarantees effective cleaning, while the system is easily integrated into existing automated production lines.
Compared to conventional shot blasting units, the HAOPIN units equipped on this machine offer higher efficiency, enabling rapid processing while effectively reducing abrasive consumption. The units are arranged in a diagonal "X" configuration relative to the moving workpiece, ensuring maximum surface coverage during cleaning. This design allows for effective shot blasting of complex components, including leading edges, welded parts, and flame-cut components.
Process Flow
The workpiece is suspended from a hook and enters the blast chamber via a manually operated rail or a fully automatic conveyor track (optional); high-efficiency blast wheels then perform surface treatment on the workpiece. The blasting cycle runs according to a preset duration; once the blast wheels stop, the exit door opens, and the hook automatically exits the chamber.

Ring gauge suspended conveyor track
The ring conveyor system utilizes an overhead track to move workpieces through the equipment at a constant speed. This conveyor consists of a chain and trolley system suspended from the track, capable of either continuous drive or index-style (station-to-station) movement.
Conveyor speed or indexing time can be adjusted in coordination with the blast wheel power and specific surface treatment requirements. The system is easily scalable to suit the factory layout and can be readily integrated into blasting operations.
Features and Options
Standard equipment: Spent shot and abrasive particles fall into the collection hopper beneath the blast chamber and are conveyed via a screw conveyor to a bucket elevator, which transports them to the abrasive recovery unit.
In this unit, used shot passes through a screen plate—which captures any oversized particles—and enters the shot hopper/air wash separator, where the shot is cleaned for reuse.
Mid-sized application options
To improve shot cleanliness, for example the separation of aluminum trim, a vibrating screen can be installed between the shot recovery unit and the shot bin.
Selection Options for Foundry/Heavy-Duty/Molding Sand Applications
A vibrating conveyor can replace a screw conveyor, providing preliminary cleaning and separation of molding sand and heavy contaminants from the used shot. To extend the equipment's service life, it is advisable to equip the conveyor with an optional magnetic separator to remove molding sand. The shot then proceeds to the air-wash separator for standard processing.
Fully automatic powered conveyor
The fully automatic power conveyor features two vertically stacked rails: the traction chain runs along the upper rail, while the transport units are suspended from the lower rail. This system offers a high degree of flexibility in linking different production processes.
Due to its robust and durable design, Qingdao KEEJOO Group's fully automatic power conveyor is especially suitable for certain special applications, such as high-dust and high-temperature working environments.
In operation, the power-and-free conveyor system enables fully automated transport through the continuous overhead shot-blasting machine and integrates with advanced production control systems—for instance, by linking the shot-blasting machine between a die-cutting machine and a crack detector. Within the isolation system, operators can initiate fully automated processing simply by activating a preset number of carriers.
