Uses and Features of Tilting Drum Machines
The tilting drum shot blasting machine is one of the standard cleaning equipment models recently developed by our company. It is designed to clean workpieces that can easily tumble, non-brittle parts resistant to impact damage, and castings, forgings, or welded components with shallow cavities, effectively removing surface sand and scale. The machine features Siemens PLC control and a high level of automation, allowing it to operate either as a standalone unit or as part of an integrated production line.
Compared to crawler-type shot blasting machines, this equipment delivers more uniform blasting results and offers greater energy efficiency. The inclined drum shot blasting machines manufactured by the company for clients such as Xi'an Aerospace, Ganzhou Getrag, ThyssenKrupp, Suzuki (Japan), and GM (USA) have been highly acclaimed.
CND-10、CND-I、CND-II This is a high-efficiency drum-type cleaning machine independently developed by our company. It features a high degree of automation and delivers excellent cleaning results, capable of operating either as a standalone unit or as part of an integrated production line. Because there are no moving parts relative to the workpieces within the tumbling zone, the design inherently eliminates issues common to traditional crawler-type shot blasting machines (such as the 32-series rubber crawler or GN-series metal crawler models)—specifically workpiece jamming, excessive wear on moving components (links, pins, track plates, sprockets, etc.), and frequent sudden failures like snapped links or cracked gearboxes caused by jams.
Years of practical use by numerous customers demonstrate that, compared to tumble-belt shot blasting machines, the tilting drum shot blasting machine incurs only one-fifth of the operating costs and requires one-tenth of the maintenance effort, making it the next-generation successor to the tumble-belt type.

Introduction to the Components of the Shot Blasting Machine

1. Semi-automatic flow control system for regulating the flow of abrasive media into the blast wheel, featuring manual adjustment of the steel shot flow rate.
2. Fully sealed structural design, featuring a lockable inspection opening and equipped with two bearings.
3. A manual shut-off valve is installed above each flow valve; this can be closed to stop the flow of media from the hopper, thereby facilitating maintenance of the flow valve.

1. The shot blasting chamber is constructed from welded manganese steel.
2. Manganese steel protective plates are installed in the "hot zone" of the chamber—specifically covering three-quarters of the area directly exposed to the blast stream—to prevent steel shot from striking the chamber's outer walls; these plates are suspended for easy installation, removal, and replacement.
3. A three-layer sealing structure is installed at the top to prevent steel shot from leaking out during the blasting process.
1. The shot blasting chamber features a compact structure and a sealed design based on German technology, ensuring no steel shot escapes during operation.
2. The door utilizes an automatic opening and closing mechanism controlled by pneumatic cylinders.
3. Employing specialized processes and technology, the door is more reliable and resistant to deformation than conventional designs, maintaining an effective seal for 20 years—surpassing traditional sealing methods that typically degrade after six months.

1.Charging door
The charging door is constructed from welded steel and features a high-manganese steel protective plate with a labyrinth-style guard design. It is driven by an electric trolley with a link chain (equipped with a safety pin) and includes a detection switch to monitor the door's position.
2. Feeding machine
The charging machine consists of a support frame, a carriage, and a link-chain drive mechanism. Protective plates are mounted on both sides of the frame, with control buttons installed on one side. The frame supports a pivoting arm; when the drive mechanism is activated, the material hopper ascends along the internal channel of the arm. Simultaneously, the arm rotates around its pivot point, causing the hopper—during its ascent and rotation—to tilt toward the cleaner's feed opening and discharge the material into the drum.
A rotary proximity switch is located at the drive shaft end to limit the upper travel limit of the hopper, while a proximity switch signals the completion of the movement once the hopper has descended.
Discharge system
1. An automatic unloading mechanism: Workpieces that have undergone shot blasting are discharged from the blast chamber, fall onto the automatic unloading mechanism, and are then conveyed into a collection bin by a vibration device.
2. An anti-drop, vibration-dampening rubber pad is installed on the unloading mechanism; it effectively prevents impact between the parts and the damping plate, providing excellent protection.

1. A mesh screen separator is connected to the elevator and positioned above the magnetic separator; fine material passes through the screen into the magnetic separator, while coarse material and impurities are conveyed by a spiral mechanism along the screen to the discharge port at the rear.
2. It is designed to finely separate usable shot, broken shot, and dust, ensuring the uniformity of the shot media.
3.Featuring a welded structure, the interior contains multiple carefully designed compartments for airflow guidance. An access door on the front allows for routine inspection and maintenance; this door is equipped with an air inlet to provide the necessary airflow for dust separation.
4. An adjustable multi-vane baffle structure is used to regulate the uniformity of the falling abrasive curtain.
5. Stationary magnets installed at both the top and bottom enable the fine separation of usable shot from broken steel shot, ensuring the consistency of the blast media.
6. A storage hopper is connected at the bottom; after separation, the usable shot flows into the hopper for storage and subsequent reuse.
