Qingdao KEEJOO Group monorail hanging shot blasting machines shorten production cycles and cut unit workpiece costs. They are applicable to diverse working scenarios as well as workpieces of various shapes and sizes.
This equipment is primarily used for the shot blasting of welded steel structures, as well as for deburring, derusting, and descaling castings and die-cast parts. Available in single-hook and double-hook configurations, the machine utilizes hooks to alternately transport workpieces into the blasting chamber. High-efficiency blast wheels propel abrasive media (0.1–1.5 mm in diameter) onto the workpiece surface to achieve a specific roughness profile, enhance aesthetic appeal, or induce compressive stress to extend service life. The rail system typically comes in "I" or "Y" configurations, with one or two heavy-duty hooks—controlled manually or automatically—moving into the chamber for processing. Through the combined action of multiple blast wheels and the rotation of the hooks, all surfaces of complex workpieces can be thoroughly cleaned. This model is widely used across industries such as gear manufacturing, forging, casting, construction, chemicals, electric motors, and machine tools for the surface cleaning or strengthening (peening) of small- to medium-sized castings and forgings—tasks that include removing scale, burrs, and sand residues. It is particularly well-suited for processing slender or thin-walled components that are susceptible to damage from impact. As a standard model, the hook-type shot blasting machine offers a range of chamber dimensions, with rotation diameters from 1,000 to 4,000 mm and heights from 1,200 to 5,000 mm. Equipped with 2 to 15 blast wheels and a load capacity of up to 50,000 kg, the machine delivers high productivity and exceptional versatility, making it an ideal solution for cleaning and strengthening operations. It is easy to operate: simply load the workpiece, press the start button, and the entire process—including the removal of dust and residual abrasive—is completed in a short cycle (typically 5–7 minutes). It is primarily applied to the surface treatment of various medium-to-large castings, forgings, weldments, and heat-treated parts, including those that are fragile or irregularly shaped.
Applications

The Qingdao KEEJOO Group Monorail Hanger Shot Blasting Machine is suitable for a wide range of applications and for workpieces of various shapes and sizes.
Applications include:
Shot blasting of welded steel; deburring and dynamic stress homogenization of die castings; shot peening of components.
Batches of small parts or individual large, heavy workpieces can be processed.

Process
Workpieces are transported into the shot blasting chamber—either manually on rotating hooks or automatically via a suspension rail system. The shot blasting cycle operates according to preset programs and blasting times.

This flexibility is achieved through a number of special product features:
HAI blast wheels provide highly efficient pre-acceleration of the abrasive media, thereby reducing processing times and delivering superior performance and excellent blasting results.
Rotation and station change
To ensure complete coverage, the hooks suspending the workpieces automatically stop and rotate at three positions within the blast chamber. This rotation and positioning process ensures that even highly complex workpieces with hard-to-reach surfaces are treated safely and accurately.
Hook and Crane
The conveyor system is designed to handle various weights. For ease of operation and safety, an integrated chain hoist hook is available as an option.
Features and functional
Standard equipment: Workpieces are transported to the shot blasting chamber manually on a rotating hook or automatically via a suspended track system. The shot blasting cycle runs according to the preset program and shot blasting time.
Shot recovery
To improve the cleaning performance of the media (such as separating flash from aluminum parts), a vibrating screen can be installed between the recovery unit and the hopper.

For foundry/heavy duty applications
A vibrating conveyor can be used instead of a screw conveyor to specifically remove sand and heavy impurities from the used abrasive media. Ideally, the conveyor should be equipped with a magnetic separator (an optional accessory) to remove sand and extend the equipment's service life. The abrasive media then proceeds to the air separator as usual.

Manually operate the track
The rail system features a standard Y-shaped design and is equipped with two manganese steel hooks. Optionally, the rail can be configured with branches or as an oval system to meet specific customer requirements. Workpieces are manually pushed along the hooks to the entrance of the shot blasting machine, from where an automatic conveyor system transports them into the blasting chamber. For particularly heavy workpieces, an automatic conveying unit can be installed along the entire length of the overhead rail system.
Lifting mechanism
Combining the use of hooks and chain hoists—tailored to the specific workpieces and the preceding and subsequent process steps—facilitates the lifting and handling of batches of workpieces or heavy components. Chain hoists are operated directly at the loading and unloading stations of overhead track systems. Another advantage of using lifting equipment for large-scale machinery is that it enables an ergonomic loading and unloading process; without such equipment, machines often have to be installed in a floor pit to lower the position of the workpiece carrier, whereas the use of lifting equipment eliminates the need for a pit.

2. Fully sealed structural design, featuring a lockable inspection opening and equipped with two bearings.
3. A manual shut-off valve is installed above each flow valve; this can be closed to stop the flow of media from the hopper, thereby facilitating maintenance of the flow valve.
1. The shot blasting chamber is constructed from welded manganese steel.
2. Manganese steel protective plates are installed in the "hot zone" of the chamber—specifically covering three-quarters of the area directly exposed to the blast stream—to prevent steel shot from striking the chamber's outer walls; these plates are suspended for easy installation, removal, and replacement.
3. A three-layer sealing structure is installed at the top to prevent steel shot from leaking out during the blasting process.
Step-action pneumatic AB doors or continuous light curtain sensing system.
1. The shot blasting chamber features a compact structure and a sealed design based on German technology, ensuring that abrasive media does not scatter during operation.
2. The door utilizes an automatic opening and closing mechanism controlled by pneumatic cylinders.
3.Employing specialized processes and technology, the door is more reliable than conventional designs; it resists deformation and maintains its sealing integrity for 20 years—overcoming the performance degradation typical of traditional sealing methods after just six months.
1. Two sets of light curtain sensors are installed at the inlet and outlet, respectively; used in pairs, the sensor density can be selected based on workpiece size.
2. When a workpiece enters the blast chamber, the inlet light curtain detects its arrival, triggering a delayed start of the blast wheel. A light curtain sensor is also installed at the outlet; when the sensors at both the inlet and outlet detect no workpieces, the flow valve automatically closes immediately to prevent "air blasting" (blasting without a workpiece present).

3. Two sets of hoist systems featuring a four-section telescopic framework and a chain electric hoist mechanism, ensuring excellent stability.

1. A mesh screen separator is connected to the elevator and positioned above the magnetic separator; fine material passes through the screen into the magnetic separator, while coarse material and impurities are conveyed by a spiral mechanism along the screen to the discharge port at the rear.
2. It is designed to finely separate usable shot, broken shot, and dust, ensuring the uniformity of the shot media.
3.Featuring a welded structure, the interior contains multiple carefully designed compartments for airflow guidance. An access door on the front allows for routine inspection and maintenance; this door is equipped with an air inlet to provide the necessary airflow for dust separation.
4. An adjustable multi-vane baffle structure is used to regulate the uniformity of the falling abrasive curtain.
5. Stationary magnets installed at both the top and bottom enable the fine separation of usable shot from broken steel shot, ensuring the consistency of the blast media.
6. A storage hopper is connected at the bottom; after separation, the usable shot flows into the hopper for storage and subsequent reuse.
