The KZP rotary hook-type shot blasting machine is particularly suitable for the surface treatment and deburring of aluminum parts, the descaling of forgings, and the desanding of castings—especially for workpieces whose shapes and sizes make them unsuitable for tumbling.
Application
The 2-station hook turntable shot blasting machine is suitable for surface shot blasting and strengthening of batch workpieces; this machine is suitable for strengthening and removing oxide scale after heat treatment of gears, gear shafts, crankshafts, engine connecting rods, diaphragm springs, inner shells of artillery shells and other processed parts, so that the surface of the workpiece reaches silver gray, and has the effect of eliminating stress and improving the adhesion of the surface coating; the shot blasting process can also be used to increase surface pre-stress on the above workpieces, improve fatigue strength, and achieve the purpose of shot blasting strengthening and cleaning.
Design and operating sequence
The equipment requires no pit and features a main structure consisting of a rotating blast chamber and a stationary outer housing. The rotating chamber is divided into sections for the blasting process and for loading/unloading. Each section is equipped with a rotating hook from which the workpiece is suspended; as the workpiece rotates into the blasting zone, a drive mechanism causes it to spin while being blasted, ensuring thorough cleaning. The loading and unloading area is open, allowing for the unloading and loading of workpieces at one station while others are being processed in the blasting station. After blasting, the abrasive media passes through a separation unit to remove impurities before being recirculated into the blast wheel.
Structural design features
The shot blasting chamber is lined with highly wear-resistant material. A unique sealing design prevents shot leakage during the blasting process. Safety switches installed at the loading and unloading openings ensure the equipment shuts down completely if a workpiece becomes jammed. A rear access door facilitates the maintenance and inspection of the chamber and the blast wheels.

Equipment Composition and Structural Features
The machine primarily consists of a shot blasting unit, a cleaning chamber assembly, a hook assembly featuring both revolution (with 3-station or 2-station indexing) and rotation (at the blasting station), an abrasive circulation system (including a screw conveyor, elevator, separator, and flow control device), a door assembly, a dust removal system, and an electrical system.
Cleaning Chamber
The cleaning chamber is configured with two stations arranged within a 360-degree layout: a loading station and a shot-blasting station. After a workpiece is hung on the hanger at the loading station, the rotating chamber carries it into the operating zone of the blast wheels. High-speed abrasive media projected by the blast wheels form a fan-shaped stream that strikes the workpiece evenly, effectively cleaning or strengthening all its surfaces. While cleaning is in progress, workpieces can be conveniently loaded at the loading station, and processed workpieces can be unloaded at the unloading station. Spilled abrasive media and debris removed from the workpiece surfaces are collected by the chamber hopper and fed into a screw conveyor; the screw conveyor transports the mixture to a bucket elevator, which lifts it to a separator. Fine dust is drawn by a fan through ducting into a dust collector, where it is filtered by bags; clean air is exhausted into the atmosphere, while dust and broken media fall into a waste bin. Separated, usable media enter a small storage hopper below, where they are manually inspected to determine whether to return them to the circulation system or discard them into the waste bin. The separated, high-quality media are redistributed to the two blast wheels via a flow control device, enabling the media to be recycled.
