This equipment is designed for high-performance, targeted surface treatment of metal sheets and profiles.
Product Overview
During the cleaning process of the wide-roller-conveyor pass-through shot blasting machine, a variable-speed roller conveyor—controlled by an electrical system—transports steel structural components or steel stock into the blasting zone within the machine's chamber. All surfaces of the workpiece are subjected to intense, concentrated bombardment and abrasion by abrasive media (shot) striking from various angles; this rapidly removes mill scale, rust, and contaminants, resulting in a clean steel surface with a specific roughness profile. Workpieces are loaded and unloaded on the roller conveyors located at the inlet and outlet ends outside the cleaning chamber. A blow-off system removes shot and rust dust from the steel surfaces; the resulting mixture falls into the chamber hopper and is transported by recovery screws and longitudinal/transverse screw conveyors to the base of the elevator, which lifts the material to the separator at the top of the machine. Cleaned shot is deposited into the separator hopper for recirculation in the blasting process, while dust-laden air is drawn into a dust collection system; the air is purified before being discharged into the atmosphere, and particulate dust is captured and collected.

Highly efficient
The KJ-C roller conveyor shot blasting machine demonstrates peak performance for this series when processing metal plates and profiles.
The key distinction between this model and others on the market lies in the angled arrangement of the blast wheels located at the top of the machine. This configuration minimizes the accumulation of abrasive media on long profiles. It significantly increases the proportion of blasting energy directed at the primary tasks—namely, rust and scale removal—while preventing the excessive buildup of abrasive material.

Blast Wheel Angle vs. Travel Speed
In practice, compared to roller conveyor shot blasting machines with vertically mounted blast wheels, the K-type roller conveyor shot blasting machine—featuring blast wheels mounted at an angle—offers a shot blasting efficiency that is 5–20% higher.
The K-type roller conveyor shot blasting machine is suitable for applications requiring high throughput speeds and long maintenance intervals.

Suitable for metal sheets and profiles.
These features make the machine particularly practical for integration into fully automated production lines and suitable for the shot blasting of metal plates and profiles.
The HD-series roller conveyor shot blasting machine is primarily equipped with the latest generation of blast wheels. Naturally, the equipment also offers a range of optional features, such as automatic blast wheel shut-off for workpieces that do not span the full width of the machine, external adjustment of blast patterns, and automatic separation of boring and sawing chips.
Shot blasting chamber
The blast chambers across KEEJOO’s entire range of roller conveyor shot blasting machines are constructed from Hardox steel plate. Manganese steel possesses high hardness, capable of withstanding shot impact hardness levels ranging from 35 HRC to 50 HRC or higher, making it an excellent material for shot blasting applications. Additional 10mm-thick Hardox steel plates are installed in the "hot spots" (areas subject to the most intense impact) of the blast chamber; these are externally mounted for easy replacement. For high-impact blasting operations, liners made of manganese steel, tool steel, or cast materials can be installed.
To prevent shot leakage, several layers of rubber pads or VSA curtains are installed in areas subject to excessive wear; these are mounted on V-shaped rails to facilitate replacement.
Abrasive Cleaning Device
After the shot blasting process, workpieces may still be covered with abrasive media, which must be removed. The cleaning tool consists of a rotary brush securely mounted on an interchangeable brush holder.
To prevent abrasive accumulation on long components, the rotary brush gently sweeps used media from the workpiece surface into a specially designed trough; this trough houses a screw conveyor that returns the media for recycling. To maintain the relative positioning of the brush and the screw conveyor, both are mounted on a single adjustable frame, ensuring consistent alignment when processing workpieces of varying sizes. The frame can be adjusted either manually or automatically, with vertical positioning increments of less than 5 mm. Finally, any remaining media is removed using a blow-off unit—mounted on the same frame—which utilizes a high-pressure blower to clear away residual material.

Cartridge Dust Removal Unit
During the shot blasting process of the workpiece, rust and scale will begin to form, as well as broken shot dust (or fine powder). The fine powder is separated in a shot cleaner, which can be adjusted to different types and sizes of shot blasting media. The cartridge dust collector that generates the necessary pressure is mounted on top of the machine for RB 600, RB 1000 and RB 1500, and next to the shot blasting machine for larger machines from RB 2000 onwards.
The impact separator within the cartridge filter unit not only ensures the separation of fine dust particles—thereby protecting the filter cartridges from unnecessary wear—but is also certified as a spark-extinguishing device, serving as a key component in achieving compliance with ATEX regulations. The cartridge dust collector employs compressed air pulses to automatically clean the filter cartridges; the intensity and duration of these pulses can be adjusted based on the type and quantity of the dust. The entire cartridge filtration process operates without creating ignition sources.
Loading and unloading
Regarding the basic equipment, the inlet and outlet roller conveyors are powered by the shot blasting machine's central drive unit; however, to enhance efficiency, separate drive units can be installed, with associated variable frequency drives automatically synchronized.
If the curved workpiece has undergone shot blasting but cannot be thoroughly cleaned using rotating brushes and air blow-off points, it is recommended to use a longer collection track and a recovery conveyor to help ensure the shot media is recovered by the equipment.
Installing a transverse feeding system enhances efficiency in multiple ways. Furthermore, this system can be installed alongside the shot blasting machine on the sawing and drilling production line.
Abrasive
The abrasive media used in most roller conveyor shot blasting machines is typically spherical (cast steel shot or conditioned cut wire shot). The media circulates through the equipment, continuously removing contaminants.
Achieving optimal shot blasting results requires a balanced mix of new and used media. The finer media in this blend is crucial for ensuring uniform surface coverage, while the coarser media is essential for removing mill scale.
Using the correct shot media is crucial for the shot blasting process, as it ensures optimal results.
Here are the usage guidelines:
For heavy-duty workpieces (such as thick plates and profiles), use a coarser shot mixture (steel shot size S390 and larger); for finishing workpieces (such as thin sheet metal), use a fine shot mixture (steel shot size S330 and smaller).
